To help provide a safe and secure environment for children, Monterey Church utilizes video surveillance in certain areas of the church facility, including Sunday school classrooms and children’s ministry areas.
Where Cameras Are Located
Video cameras may be present in:
• Sunday school classrooms
• Nursery and children’s ministry areas
• Hallways and entrances serving children’s areas
Cameras are not placed in restrooms, changing areas, or other locations where privacy is expected.
Audio Recording
The church records video only and does not record audio.
Use of Recordings
Video recordings are used for:
• Child safety and security
• Incident review, if necessary
• Protection of volunteers and staff
Recordings are confidential and access is limited to authorized church leadership. Recordings are not publicly released or posted online.
Retention of Recordings
Video recordings are generally retained for a limited period of time and then automatically deleted unless needed for review of a specific incident.
